EMPLOYEE INVENTIONS IN MULTINATIONAL SETTINGS

In this webinar we will discuss the challenges associated with managing employee inventions in multinational settings. These challenges can be exacerbated by a variety of laws and regulations which sometimes appear to be in conflict. Companies often struggle to find solutions that both (1) ensure compliance with mandatory legislation and (2) secure the company´s rights to intangible property. In our webinar we will provide practical advice for solving potentially complex issues by addressing the following important topics in this area of law:

  • Potential effect of the location of an employee-inventor and his or her nationality
  • Aspects of invention notification processes
  • Decisions to obtain rights to the inventions and assignment of rights
  • Challenges in providing invention remuneration
