Kim is an experienced attorney with extensive knowledge of IP on an international level. He is primarily focused on technologies related to mechanics. He is an expert in patent disputes and has been responsible for patent litigation in Europe for years.
He also has in-depth knowledge of route selection at the protection stage of the patenting process (national patents, European patents, PCT and PPH) and the significance of these choices in business and patent portfolio management.
Kim joined Berggren in 2012. He has more than 30 years of experience from both private practice and industry.
Kim has been closely involved in the development of the European patent system since the mid-1990s. He is a well-known and active influencer in domestic and international associations and organizations in the IP sector. He has vast experience of chairing such organizations as well as holding other leadership and committee positions.
