Susanne is a patent attorney in the field of chemistry, specialized in biology, biochemistry, and applications in plant sciences. She is a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Turku, and she has also taken the Master of Intellectual Property Law degree in the United States, and passed the USPTO bar.
For the last decade, Susanne has worked as a USPTO registered patent practitioner in two US IP-law firms. Her work has included managing US patenting processes for her clients. During this time, she has also worked as a foreign associate for Berggren, taking care of US applications for certain Berggren clients, as well as various surveys and analyses relating to patenting. Before her career as an attorney, Susanne acquainted herself with the commercialization of immaterial rights at Licentia Ltd, a company specializing in licensing for the University of Helsinki.
Susanne is a well-recognized patent attorney in the field of chemistry, and she has also been active in positions of trust in the IP field.
At Berggren, Susanne in based at the office of Berggren LLP in Hoboken, New Jersey, where she works closely with her Finnish colleagues on a daily basis.
