Berggren | Paula de Andrés Gómez
Paula de Andrés Gómez is a European Design Attorney and Partner at Berggren. She has worked in the field of intellectual property since 2000, heads Berggren’s Alicante office and is responsible for the firm’s international relations in design matters.
Paula advises Finnish and international clients on protecting product designs and building design portfolios that support their business objectives. Her clients range from SMEs to multinational corporations. Her work covers strategic advice, clearance searches, protection strategies and enforcement of design rights. In infringement matters, she works closely with colleagues specialising in litigation.
Paula has extensive experience in design protection across a wide range of industries, including consumer products, gaming, consumer electronics, medical devices, the automotive industry, packaging and user interfaces.
She is actively involved in the design committees of international IP organisations as well as in EUIPO working groups. This gives her close insight into legislative and procedural developments in design protection, often already during the preparatory stages. She also speaks regularly at international IP conferences.
Through her extensive international network, Paula coordinates design protection across different markets and helps clients identify the most suitable local experts in each jurisdiction.
