Suvi Julin is a lawyer, UPC representative, as well as Finnish Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney. She has worked in the IP field since 2012 and over 1o years in the industry prior to that.
Suvi works broadly and with a business-oriented approach on disputes, particularly patent disputes, as well as on technology and IP licensing. She drafts and negotiates various commercial contracts on behalf of clients. Suvi’s expertise also covers employee inventions, IP strategy, open source, data protection and AI-related questions. In her work, Suvi places strong emphasis on prior prevention of disputes by helping clients identify risks early and build contract and IP practices that support their business goals.
Suvi has handled demanding, large-scale disputes as well as technology and IP licensing matters, and has strong experience across the software and telecommunications industries, as well as consumer products, retail and mechanics. The industry knowledge gives her a deep understanding of clients' technology and business matters both in contract negotiations and in dispute resolution.
