Pirita Suortamo

Pirita has extensive experience in industrial processes as well as in related quality and development work. She works with a wide range of assignments related to innovations and patenting, supporting clients in protecting new solutions and in different stages of their development processes.

Before moving into the patent field, Pirita worked in both in-house corporate research and development projects and collaborative R&D initiatives involving multiple organizations. This experience has given her a strong understanding of how innovations are created and developed in practice – enabling her to support clients in these processes from a new perspective.

Pirita has gained broad expertise particularly in the processes of the forest and construction industries. In the forest industry, her experience covers the entire processing chain, from wood fiber processing through web forming and coating to further processing stages and product safety. In the built environment sector, her strengths include, for example, structural engineering and air quality monitoring. She also has broad expertise in a range of analytical and measurement technologies.
