Helmiina Piipponen
Markku Szymczak is a design attorney who has worked in IPR since 2015. He helps clients identify design protection opportunities for new products and use design rights proactively, including in potential infringement situations.
Markku carries out prior art searches for designs, helping clients map existing designs before making protection decisions. In design infringement cases, he supports the firm's lawyers with analysis. Alongside design protection, he helps clients protect trademarks and domain names, with particular experience in domain name disputes. His expertise also extends to German law, which is valuable in international assignments.
