Vilgailė is enthusiastic about novel technologies and supporting innovation. She can assist clients in various patenting-related tasks, such as novelty searches, preparation of patent applications, and communication with the patent office.
Prior to joining Berggren, Vilgailė has obtained a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, a Ph.D. degree from Lund University in Sweden, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, Finland. Thanks to her strong education and research background as well as a curious mind, Vilgailė is ready to handle a wide range of technologies, in particular utilizing her extensive experience in semiconductor devices, epitaxial growth of crystals, design of optoelectronic and thermophotonic devices both on bulk as well as nanostructure scales. In addition to device design and manufacture, she also has wide experience in various optical characterization techniques.
