Berggren has again been recognized by the WTR 1000 survey which each year evaluates the world's leading trademark professionals. The firm is particularly pleased to announce that Berggren has won the 2024 Gold Award for Prosecution and Strategy and the Bronze Award for Enforcement and Litigation.
The best firm in Finland
The survey notes in particular that "Berggren is deeply embedded within the Finnish legal landscape and is among the largest and most experienced IP practices in the region”. The survey also notes that satisfied clients warmly recommend the firm with comments such as “Berggren is the best firm in Finland and has cultivated long-lasting relationships with clients thanks to its brilliant work in trademarks, and cooperation with the team is always fruitful. They have a great grasp on clients’ businesses and are able to advise on various matters efficiently."
Recognised individuals
The survey particularly highlights Berggren leaders Kaisa Fahllund and Milla Lehtoranta. According to the survey “from robust litigation to the smooth negotiation of IP-rich deals, Kaisa has built a niche for herself among technology-driven brands.” The survey continues by acknowledging Milla Lehtoranta, noting that “portfolio management ace Milla regularly helps businesses navigate trademark protection and oversees IP-heavy disputes and commercial activities."
The survey also highlights an all-rounder Hannu Halmetoja and his colleague Paula Sailas whom the survey states “has a keen understanding of brand identity” The survey also noted of Jenni Ihalainen that “Jenni offers top-notch services; she takes the time to analyze issues, develop her understanding of the client’s business and provide tailored advice.” The surveys recognizes that “Matti Nousiainen is particularly well-versed in procedural law and matters before district courts, market courts and arbitral tribunals. Jukka Palm was recognized for “demonstrating profound knowledge, and handling matters swiftly and with care.” Joining her colleagues in WTR 1000 for the first time is Päivi Salonen for whom the survey notes that “Päivi leverages over 20 years of IP expertise to manage domestic and foreign trademark registrations.”
