New faces at Berggren

    Berggren is a full-service European intellectual property law firm with a proud history of 90 years at the forefront of the industry. We are dedicated to providing expert advice and comprehensive solutions across the entire IP landscape, from patent, trademark, and design registration to enforcement and litigation.

    The late winter has brought Berggren a number of new IP experts to work with grand ideas. A collage of our new employees who have already been introduced in social media is given below. Welcome!

    Tuomas Matila, M.Sc. (Eng.) joined Berggren as an IP Business Manager on 1 February 2016. Matila was previously a unit manager and patent attorney at Boco IP, and he also has experience from patent licensing at Nokia.

    Iiro Nurminen, LL.M., joined Berggren as an IP Lawyer on 15 February 2016. Nurminen has previously worked for Solteq, and as an IP Legal Trainee at Berggren.

    Taru Kallio-Nyholm, M.Sc. in IP Law (Econ.), BBA, started a fixed-term project relating to her studies. She joined Berggren as an IP Specialist, Brands & Greip™. Kallio-Nyholm has previously worked on brand and trademark portfolios at Nokia and Microsoft, and she is also the editor-in-chief of the IPR University Center magazine IPRinfo.

    Karri Puustinen, LL.M., joined Berggren as the Team Leader for the Agreements team and as an IP Lawyer on 1 March 2016. Prior to joining us, Puustinen worked as a lawyer at Fujitsu Finland Oy and at Lexia Asianajotoimisto, as well as for the IP group at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. He has experience in contract law, particularly technology supply and licensing contracts, as well as ICT distribution and production agreements.

    Joshua Wert, B.Sc., started as a US Patent Agent on 8 March 2016. Prior to joining Berggren, Wert worked for Seppo Laine Oy.
