Erika Herronen

Erika drafts patent applications focusing especially on medical technology and software inventions. She handles interactions with patent authorities and provides support to clients in a wide range of technical fields in assessing patentability of inventions and freedom to operate analyses. Erika has previous work experience from the software industry, working with electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis and patient monitors, among other things.

In her studies, she has focused particularly on signal and image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and biomedical data measurement and processing. She has also taken studies in chemical engineering. Thanks to her academic and professional background, she has a broad understanding of various technical fields and interdisciplinary technologies.

In 2025, Erika Herronen was selected for the IP STARS Rising Star category, an internationally recognized accolade for promising intellectual property professionals.
