    Joni Mikkola is a European Patent Attorney who has worked in the IP field since 1998. He helps clients protect their innovations and turn them into IP assets that matter for the business. Joni supports clients in identifying IP-related risks early, building IP strategies that serve business goals, and preventing costly disputes.

    Joni's technical expertise centres on ICT, automotive electronics and software, medical imaging, and digital solutions in mechanical and equipment engineering. His work also covers patent monitoring, infringement analysis, opposition and appeal proceedings, as well as portfolio evaluation, licensing and technology sales. Before moving into his current role, he spent several years in IP roles at international companies in Finland and Germany, returning to Berggren in 2011.
