We are proud to share that our experts Paula Sailas and Paula de Andrés Gómez have been appointed to the INTA Committees for the Committee Term 2026-2027. This year, more than 4,400 members applied to serve on committees. Paulas will contribute to the development of international IP regulations and practices, with a particular focus on the following EU-related matters:
Two committees, one global impact
- Paula Sailas was appointed to the Brands and Sustainability Committee, which supports INTA’s mission by reviewing ESG legislation and regulation, researching the economic and legal connection between brands, brand value and IP on the one hand and ESG principles on the other, developing INTA policy positions on the related issues, communicating the importance of ESG governance and CSR initiatives to our members, and creating proposals to incorporate ESG values and strategies in INTA educational programming.
- Paula de Andrés Gómez was appointed to the Design Committee, which develops and advocates INTA’s policy in relation to design rights. The Design Committee not only addresses issues related to design protection but it also promotes the importance of design rights within the intellectual property landscape. It aims to enhance understanding and advocacy for design rights among stakeholders and policymakers globally.
Why does this matter?
INTA Committee work plays a vital role in shaping the future of trademark and design laws and practices globally. For IP professionals, committee work offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international peers, influence policy, and stay at the forefront of legal developments. For the IP field as a whole, these committees help harmonize standards, address emerging challenges, and ensure that IP systems remain effective and innovation friendly.
Congratulations to both Paulas for their well-deserved appointments!
