    Berggren | Timo Alanne

    Timo Alanne has worked as a patent attorney since 2000. He helps clients identify protectable inventions already at the early stages of product development and build appropriate patent protection for them in Finland and internationally. Timo supports clients throughout the entire patent lifecycle, from planning the protection strategy to maintaining and defending patent rights.

    Timo also helps clients identify and manage patent-related risks. He assesses third-party patent rights and supports clients in situations where it is necessary to ensure freedom to operate or respond to allegations of patent infringement.

    Timo’s technical expertise covers a broad range of fields, including physics, information technology and software, X-ray and imaging technologies, mechanical engineering, materials technology and unmanned systems. He has particular expertise in novelty searches and in advising small and medium-sized companies on patenting and IPR matters.

    Before joining Berggren, Timo worked as a researcher and advisory engineer at the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.
