Antonio has worked in IPR since 2026, and he helps clients with patenting, particularly in artificial intelligence, quantum technology, algorithms and computer-implemented inventions. He supports clients in identifying risks, choosing the right patent strategy and preventing disputes. Antonio also helps clients decide which patents to prioritise, taking into account competitor innovations and future business impact, and takes applications through to grant.
Before joining Berggren, Antonio worked for over three years as a quantum algorithms researcher at a startup as part of an industrial doctoral programme. This work resulted in two patent applications in which he is named as inventor, and more than four first-author articles on quantum algorithms for computational fluid dynamics. He has given talks at international conferences in the field. His technical expertise also covers computational physics, applied physics, molecular physics, quantum computing and cryptography.
