Henna-Maaria has worked in the IPR field since 2009. She helps companies identify, protect and use their innovations as part of their business. As a patent attorney, she works with clients to find solutions that give an invention the broadest possible protection in support of the business. She drafts patent and utility model applications, conducts novelty searches and handles oppositions and appeals. Her aim is to help clients gain a competitive edge, avoid IPR-related risks and make well-founded decisions.
Her technical expertise centres on process engineering, chemistry, polymer chemistry, composite materials and mechanics, as well as solutions for the forest and paper industry. She also has experience in materials technology and energy. She has worked with both Finnish and international clients, and her experience covers patenting procedures in a range of countries. Before joining Berggren, she worked for Finnish companies.
