Elina Pörsti helps companies with patent-related matters, from assessing the patentability of an invention to securing and maintaining patent protection. She has worked in IPR since 2022, with particular expertise in biomedicine, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, food technology and greentech.Elina drafts patent applications, carries out novelty searches and freedom-to-operate analyses, and assists with infringement and opposition matters. She also supports clients in building IP strategy, managing IP portfolios and navigating commercialisation questions.
Before moving into IPR, Elina worked in biomedical research and business development roles in Finland and internationally. Her experience across academia, the pharmaceutical industry and the startup ecosystem has equipped her with a strong understanding of both the scientific foundations of innovation and its commercial potential.
Elina works with companies of all sizes, helping them ensure that their intellectual property supports business growth, competitiveness and risk management.
