Berggren was once again recognized in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 survey which each year evaluates the world's leading trademark professionals and trademark legal service-providers.
Berggren was selected as one of the strongest IP firms particularly with respect to prosecution and strategic services. According to the survey, Berggren stands out not only in filing trademark applications but also enforcement and litigation as well as prosecution and strategy. The survey notes that “Berggren has lately been bringing out the big guns in contentious proceedings, with its dispute resolution offering in hot demand – as a result, the firm debuts on the enforcement and litigation table this year.”
Like last year, our IP lawyers Paula Sailas and Hannu Halmetoja were identified as two of Berggren´s top experts. This year the survey also highlights our expert Tarja Tchernych, stating that “she makes light work of even the highest-stakes cases”. The survey also recognized WTR 1000 newcomer and all-rounder Milla Lehtoranta who WTR describes as “commercially oriented, practical and easy to communicate with. She readily makes herself available and is keen to understand the inner workings of her clients’ business”.
Kaisa Fahllund, continues Tarja Tchernych’s great work with us, and starting at the beginning of 2021, oversees the legal, trademarks and designs division, is also listed among our top professionals. WTR comments on Kaisa´s activities in “building up the [group´s] contracts team and managing sweeping public procurement and ICT projects with finesse. Her refined understanding in this area has given Berggren an extra edge.”
